The worst privacy horror stories often have to do with erroneous information, such as in credit reports. It's unlikely that cookies could have that kind of an effect on a person's life, but still a basic right should be to be able to make sure that any data that relates to you is accurate. This would imply that users should be able to remove or edit any cookies that are in error.
