Making a statement: Exercise 2

(and answer to Exercise 1)

This is one possible solution to Exercise 1:

answer to exercise 1

In each case, the subject of the statement is Dewey the Dog. We've used his picture in the place of an identifier, but in real metadata we would have an identifier for him.

Because a list of statements is somewhat hard to visualize, statements with the same subject are often gathered together into a graph format. You will see metadata visualized as graphs more often than as statements, but the two represent the same data, just visualized differently.

data as graph

Now we move on to exercise two, and in this exercise we will need to apply what we know about subjects, and about graphs. We have added some more information about Dewey:

A hint: think about the subject of each of these statements. When you are done, go to the next page for answers.
